Does anyone know what this rash is ?

Today my toddler woke up with this little rash around his upper lip he has been sick and has been sneezing a lot so I don’t know if it’s because of that or some thing else when I put something on it he doesn’t cry or nothing so I don’t think it hurts him but I’m just wondering what this could be from or what it looks like

Ok to me that looks like he just licked his lips a bunch and they got a sore. I did that all the time as a kid. Has he been licking his lips? Has it been getting redder and redder over the past few days?

It could be a cold sore or drool rash from either teething or boogers from runny nose.

UPDATE it was a rug burn 🤦‍♀️cut he had fell the night before but since he didn’t cry or looked hurt I didn’t think anything of it went to the doctor and was told it was that

He has been sick for over a week runny nose only but he would lick his lips and constantly have boogers because he was sick and sneezing so I’m not sure if it was because of that and  his lip got dry ?

Does anyone know what this rash is ?
