What did you like about your labour? What do you regret?

I.e did you video the experience? Take pictures? Wish you had? Etc…
I absolutely love photo’s and making scrapbooks and crafts of memories but not sure how I would feel about having photo’s taken whilst giving birth.

I wish I had not let them Induce me, that I tried harder to get through the pain and didn’t jump to the epidural when I did . I wanted to try regular pain meds first but once the Pitocin kicked in and the contractions started picking up it was so intense . Wish I walked around more or used breathing techniques . I loved my nurse though she was so amazing and I feel she went above and beyond. I don’t think my labor or delivery would have been the same without her. I’m hoping I’ll somehow get her again when my second is born .

Ummmm nothing? It’s literally the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life. Why would I like it?

Regrets: not using the bathtub to relax, not holding out longer for the epidural,  not showering, not bringing an ipod, not bringing a laptop to watch anything, not bringing more snacks
This 2nd time i plan to focus on other things and try new stuff. I suppose i felt embarrassed the first time but the idea of labor, warm bath and weight off my back sounds amazing

I have 4 babies & my only regret is with my second one. I had to be induced & the nurse kept telling me that the pain was going to be horrible & kept pushing for the epidural so I freaked out & got it 6 hrs into the induction even though I was in 0 pain. 😕
By the time it was time to push I couldnt feel anything & I hated that feeling. Also I couldnt move for 2 hours after I delivered. I wish I could just go back & stand my ground against that pushy nurse 😩

I wish I would have recorded my labor and I wish that I would’ve taken a photo with my husband and daughter. She was our rainbow baby after two losses so we were so in the moment we didn’t even think to take photos or record. I have one random photo of her and I was making a funny face, so I’m sure in 20 years she’ll ask why I didn’t get a “cute” photo 😂 
I wish I could have had my mother in the room as well, but due to Covid I was only allowed to have my husband. 
I got to 7cm and was 90% when I got the epidural. My epidural wore off when I starting pushing and I pushed for 3 hours 10 minutes. I felt everything and I feel like I could have done without the epidural since it didn’t work for me. I also wish I would’ve had my mother French braid my hair because it was a hot mess and hard to put in a bun while hooked up to the IV. 
I am happy that I did not have to be induced, I was scheduled for an induction the day my daughter was born. I had contractions at home for about 10 hours the day before my scheduled induction. I finally went to the hospital when my contractions were 4 minutes apart. Then after waiting in labor and delivery for about an hour and a half, my water broke when i stood up from the chair and I was ready to be admitted. 
Giving birth was the longest, most painful, beautiful, and happiest moment of my life.

Hmm that’s a tough one. I’d say I loved when it was over but at the beginning process I also loved how well I was handling my contractions, I felt SO strong. What I disliked or would have done differently was they didn’t ask me if students were allowed in so next thing you know I have over 10 people in my room surrounding me and pushing my mom and boyfriend around so they had to watch the birth and I’m the type that gets into my zone so I was focusing on pushing while nurses were screaming “OPEN YOUR EYES LOOK OPEN YOUR EYES COME ON” like I needed my focus time but I didn’t speak up because 1. I was so focused on getting her out and 2. I didn’t know I could ask for them to leave. Another thing was the epidural, since I was induced they needed to have me get the epidural otherwise the stress and strain being put onto baby and I was going to end badly, I wanted a natural birth but things don’t always go to plan! The epidural for me was the most traumatizing.

With my first I regret not doing enough research. I was in back labor & didn’t know it. Didn’t know that laying down intensified the pain for me. So I wish I would’ve not got the epidural so I could’ve labor off the bed with more movement, specially because the epidural didn’t really help because baby’s had was on my spine. & I wish we had a picture of all 3 of us. I also regret not speaking up, my husband let our visitors come see the baby during our Golden hour so I feel robbed of that experience…
With my second I regret giving into the epidural. I made it all the way to 8cm without it and I was progressing, breathing techniques were helping allot but I panicked and just asked for it & it failed I felt relief at first but then I didn’t I could feel everything again, I could even move my legs I’m sure I’d I tried I would’ve been able to walk. With this one because of covid it was only husband and I so it felt more private more calm. I love that she came so fast 4 pushes and she was out.
I like that I had relatively short labors ( compared to women who labor for days)
From arriving to the hospital at 5cm with my first 7 hours later baby was in my arms. With my second arriving also at 5 cm 5 hours later had her in my arms 🥰

Hospital didn’t allowed us to record. I do regret not taking a family pic of us we only have pictures if our rainbow.
