Announcing pregnancy?

Question

When can I make a doctors appointment after finding out I’m pregnant? It says I’m 3 weeks and 2 days. 
And when does everyone announce to their friends and family? I’m very impatient but also feel like I should wait. Help?!!

You can call right now and make an appointment!! But they typically wont see you until your a bit further along. And announce whenever you feel ready! Ive always announced right away, as I get eager and excited 😄 but some people wait until they are no longer in the 1st trimester to be safe. Its all up to you hun!

Hihi! So most Obs don’t wanna see you until week 7-8. Additionally it’s totally up to you when to break the news. I’m waiting until I’m 5 months pregnant.

It's all up to you. You can call Dr right away but they probably will not get you in until 8 weeks for a viability ultrasound.  For our first We told our Immediate family at 6 weeks and everyone else after our first ultrasound. I wish we would've done that with our second because we ended up losing it.

I recommend waiting until you get a dark line on a home pregnancy test or a positive digital test before making a confirmation appointment. Pregnancy tests at clinic aren't as sensitive as the home tests so you're more likely to get a false negative if it's too early.
As far as when to tell that is your preference only. With my previous pregnancies I told my family and close friends early on but did not formally announce as they ended in MC before 10 weeks. The support during the hard time was very nice to have. Currently I'm 22 weeks and announced to friends and family at 8 weeks but didn't make a formal announcement until I was 20 weeks. It's entirely depends on your comfort levels. There's no good or bad time.
