Inducing stories?

Hey ladies,
I’m having my first baby and he’s 10 days late as of today I’ve got to go hospital on Tuesday for around a  4 day stay (if he takes that long to come and theres not a lot of high risk women) and to be induced can you please tell me some of your stories on this? Good and bad I’d like to hear all of them! Im quite optimistic about it all I haven’t really thought that far into it I’m just going to take it when it happens 🙌🏼

i was induced at 38 weeks and it was the worst experience of my life. by day 3 i was in for emergency c-section hopefully that your over schedule not under schedule your induction will go a lot easier good luck mumma ! x

i was induced at 39 weeks, i was only in labor for a little less than 4 hours and pushed for 15 minutes, i was already 4 cm dilated and 90% effaced. I had a great experience!

I was induced at 40 weeks, I was already dilated so they just did pitocin. the pitocin makes your contractions pretty bad, like with my first I didn't get an epidural until 8cm my second 6 cm and this go around I was 3 1/2-4 cm it was rough. But they started pitocin at 6am I got the epidural at 1pm broke my water at 2pm started pushing at 4:30pm. She was born at 4:30pm(: not a bad experience, I hope all goes well for you. I think the worst part for me was hearing all the bad stories of induction. I was so nervous and scared it wasn't funny. And it didn't make sense to me because it was my 3rd not 1st lol

I had to be induced at 37 weeks for severe preeclampsia. From when induction started and my whole labor and delivery the whole thing took less than 10 hours. It went really fast for me. I pushed for literally only 5 minutes, 3 times. Hardest part was the contractions and I got an epidural as soon as I could which helped a lot. My water broke on it’s own. I did have to be on magnesium afterwards for 24 hours so I was on bed rest and couldn’t eat anything at all. 💜

My daughter I was induced for medical reason took about 24 hours. 
My son I was induced on a Monday and had him the Thursday afternoon took 4 days. 
Both time my cervix was closed and hard.

I was induced at 38+3 and she took 3 days to come, I started on misoprostol for day 1 & 2 but my waters broke on day 2 so day 3 they started pitocin & she arrived at 11.45pm on the Wednesday 🙃 but honestly I’m pregnant with no.2 & part of me wants to be induced again, I felt safe surrounded by medical staff while entering this journey, so now the idea of going into labour without being induced Is terrifying lmao.

I was induced at 40+2. First day in the hospital they didn't do anything. Short staffed and very busy. If you are in the UK know that this can happen. If they have high risk women coming in or a lot of women with spontaneous labour you will not get induced immediately.
Three days on prostaglandins ( pessary and tablets). I finally dilated enough for them to break my waters on the 4th day. Started hormone drip and had him after 13h of labour. We had to stay in the hospital for a few days after birth due to baby being jaundiced and because I was determined to breastfeed and he wouldn't latch. In the end we were in the hospital for one week. 
I wouldn't want to be induced again to be honest.

My induction last time took about 24 hours but I was also limited in how they could induce because I was trying for a vbac. If it’s your first baby or you’ve never had a csection before, the induction options are so much greater. Both my sis and SIL have been induced and had their babies within 4-12 hours

I had a great experience with my induction also. Induced late 37w2d and had my son early 37w4d (29 hours 15 minutes from check in until birth). Started with cytotec (or cervidil, whichever is the tampon like thing that goes by your cervix). That was there for 8 hours then I was given two doses misoprostil. About 16 hours in, my water broke on its own. Got an epidural 2 hours later where I also started on low pitocin. My son did start having decels because of how long my water had been broken for and it was upsetting him. Position change and peanut ball didn’t help one bit so, before they decided on a C-section, they did an amnio infusion (saline into the uterus) and he calmed down. I got about 4 more hours of sleep and bam. Pushed for 26 minutes.

I’ve been induced twice. Once at 37+2 and was only 1cm at the start. Start to finish it was around 16 hours but only 3 hours of active labor and pushed 22 of those minutes. My second went super fast bc I was 39+3 and 5cm at the start. Start to finish was 3 hours and only 25 mins of active labor. I had great experiences being induced and I plan on being induced again at 39 weeks with this baby.
