Soooo, I moved into an apartment complex roughly last year ( I’ve got like 4 months left on this lease) and recently things have just been falling apart

My oven was broken, took them over a month to fix it…and so I had to unplug my stove from the wall every-time just to make sure it was actually off. When they did come and fix it I got zero notice that they would be coming in. They actually came while I was at work and I got a “ notice, update complete.” Message.

I’ve only seen pest control out a single time in my almost year lease, yet I pay for it monthly? I also have the option to pay for valet trash…or so I thought it was optional. I actually got a call from my leasing office today that I was receiving a slash on my lease if I didn’t remove the trash infront of my door. I asked if valet would be around or if I had to bring it to the dumpster myself. She said that valet refused to pick it up because it wasn’t tied well enough and apparently one of the bags is leaking.

I let her know that I had several problems with my trash not getting picked up and I didn’t understand why I paid for valet trash if they almost never pick it up? I’ve taken my trash for the last 4-5 months because they don’t pick it up. I asked the leasing office today that since my trash wasn’t being picked up correctly that I could cancel the valet and just start taking my own trash. She said that it was part of my lease agreement and that even if I didn’t use the services in my lease, I still had to pay for them.

I feel like that’s kinda wrong? This is the first apartment I’ve had on my own since my boyfriend and I broke up and it just makes zero sense….it’s also very expensive and I don’t understand why it’s so shitty now? I’m just venting, ignore me.

Once I’m home from work I’m taking my trash to the dumpster and I guess throwing another 50 dollars at the apartments to just stare at a wall.
