Do you tip on a service that is a gift from a family member?

Usually I tip for any service, but this situation is making me unsure. 
My husband's aunt is a massage therapist, and we usually make appointments with her several times a year (we pay, and tip). For our wedding, she gifted us each massage. Do we tip her even though it was a gift? I'm not trying to be stingy and not tip for a service, but if its a gift, it almost feels rude to tip. So I'm not sure what to do. Advice?

In this case since the relative gave u “her own service” the tip isn’t necessary. But if it was like a gift certificate given to use a service somewhere then yes.

I was leaning towards tipping, but I wondered if she would feel differently. 
Like, if I offered a service to someone as a gift, I would absolutely NOT accept a tip. Maybe I'm odd for that. It would make me feel like I 'gave' them something to try to get money out of them. Ya know?
I dont have any issue tipping her. I just want to make sure its received well if thats the right thing to do.

I put tip but if it's a service from the actual family member, no. If the family member had bought you a service from someone else, yes.

I would probably offer one, because if it was a gc  to anywhere else I’d tip that person. But we the gift giver I would probably have added 20% and had that written (my husband did that when he got me a gc to get my hair done). 
Have to ask…I’m not huge into massages. Is that weird getting one from a relative? I would be uncomfortable

I would see no harm in trying to tip. If she declines it and says it was a gift, then obviously keep the money.

I would be prepared to tip because it is a service, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if she turned it down. If I was gifting someone a service that I was providing myself directly, I wouldn’t expect a tip. She sounds like she does this professionally so I am sure she will feel comfortable to politely accept or reject the tip and wouldn’t be offended by you offering in the first place. You can only control your actions, so offering seems like the right thing to do. Let her take it from there.

In this situation if tipping may feel weird to you maybe bring her a little gift and either leave it in the room when you are done or hand it to her just to show that you appreciate her taking the time out of her schedule to do this for you. Since you are both getting a massage, if she has someone else with her that will be massaging you or your new husband then definitely tip that person.

I wouldn’t expect a tip and I wouldn’t care if you left one. Its awkward if you physically handed cash but if you leave something on a card, it’s not big deal lol
