Marriage... how to cope with stupidity?

Question

I have been married now for 13 years . .I've known my husband since we were 13 years old. I have been dealing some health issues myself. However before I became sick I found out my fallopian tube are completely blocked on both sides. I can not get pregnant naturally, my husband doesn't want me now to get pregnant because he is scared  that my body is not up to the task. I want to make an attempt at least. We have been arguing back and forth about this issue. Am I being selfish?

I'm confused, how is this stupidity? He is scared that something will happen to you if you try getting pregnant.

Your calling your husbands concern for your health stupidity?????? That’s not stupid, that’s love. But do research… go to drs… but at the end of the day… you can’t make him do something he’s not ready for or scared for.

I don’t think the fact that he’s concerned about your health makes him stupid 
I’d rather him be worried and concerned than have blatant disregard for what’s going on with my body 🤷🏽‍♀️

So you had an hsg, found out your tubes are blocked. They can’t go in and unblock them? I know sometimes it’s more than just the unblock in the hsg itself but then usually people can ttc naturally.
Just trying to follow this scenario…I’m an ivf mama.

So you're husband being worried about you and loving you is stupidity? I've been in your situation the only difference is I got pregnant with twins it turned in to an ectopic and I had to have my tube removed, that was coming up 4 years ago. My husband hasn't wanted to try again for fear of my health as he nearly lost me with the ectopic, he's not being stupid because he doesn't want to try again. You need to open your eyes and look at the bigger picture and respect your husband wishes.

First, remind him that just because your Fallopian tubes are blocked doesn’t mean you can’t carry a baby.  That just means your egg can’t get down to be fertilized.  Revisit with a doctor who will address any questions/concerns he might have.  If the dr reassures him you’ll be ok, then he might be more on board.  He’s just concerned and going with the information he has at hand.  Now…if you have done this/do this and the dr says you are good to go and he still says no, then there is definitely something else going on with him.

Is he worried about what’ll happen to you if you get pregnant? Or is there a chance he’s realized he doesn’t want kids?
