Gestational sac but empty

Hi everyone, a little bit of an update I had my ultrasound done today at 7 weeks 1 day and we saw a sac but it was empty. Did not see any baby. What does that mean? The sac was measuring 5 weeks 4 days. That was around the time I started corona. Actually the day after. Could this have anything to do with it. Baby didn’t develop because of corona. My COVID was pretty mild only had fever 1 day which I took Panadol for. I’m not sure if they coincide. This will be my second miscarriage both during the same week. Coincidence or something wrong. 🙁🙁 too sad

Also I never did get the pregnancy cramps. Like with my last miscarriage and when I was pregnant with my son I knew exactly when I was getting pregnant because a week or so after ovulation I’d get these period pains sometimes even worse. With this one I felt nothing up until I did pregnancy cause I was late. Maybe there was nothing there to begin with. I really hope that’s it then losing it to COVID. 🙁

UPDATE

So I had another blood test and ultrasound. Unfortunately I am miscarrying again. There was still no baby in the sac. And my hcg levels did increase but slightly. I just wanna get this over and done with. This will be my second miscarriage. Not sure if I will be doing it naturally or with medication.
