How do you self treat a yeast infection?

I really don't want to be on antibiotics. I've been using vagisal anti itch wipes and unscented summeres eve feminine wash to relieve some of the itching but I want it to go away without the hassle of going to the doctor. I hate them. It's not a big deal and I feel like this problem is an easy fix. I just don't know what to do.

You can insert garlic cloves into your vagina.  Garlic kills yeast.  I'm same way, hate antibiotics, they screw up my stomach for months!

​Garlic sounds crazy and weird but I can attest that it works.  You can sew a thread through it so it's easier to pull out when you're done if you want.

​Also it gives a strong garlic taste in your throat the whole time it's in so best to do it at night :)

I have many problems with candida. Antibiotics doesn't help at all with this problem. It's all about food. As other girls said you should eat lots of jogurt, avoid sugar and carbs all together.. Use just Olive or coconut oil. It's very hard but it really helps. Also buy some probiotic pills and wear only cotton underwear and try to sleep naked. It helps to be without clothes ☺️  Also you should use pure cotton pads and avoid tampons. 
​Buy some antibacterial intimate wash and use it just once a day.

You can use apple cider vinegar in the shower as well. The acidity in the vinegar balances the alkaline imbalance. :)

I've knocked out two yeast infections with garlic! Yup! Just pop a clove up there before bed. Crazy hippie crap, I know, but it works! Few nights in a row and you should be good!

You can get monistat or another brand of medication at the grocery store or pharmacy without a perscription, and eat lots of yogurt!

There are OTC pills (Azo Yeast) and the creams others mentioned. I heard summer Eve and other douche products are actually bad for you and can lead to yeast infections. Also, sometimes a dr might call in a diflucan without you going in. It's one pill...a miracle drug!

An acidophilus supplement can help, also eating a decent amount of yogurt. There is also over the counter treatments you can purchase to cure it. I recommend the 7 day treatment and not the 3 day or overnight.
