My friend bailed last minute am I wrong for being upset?

Am I reading too much into this? My feelings are hurt and I’m not sure if I’m wrong for feeling bad.

I have a friend of over ten years and her birthday was on the 19th of may so I asked her if she was free tonight and she said yes and so I was going to surprise her with tickets to a comedy show. I told her that her and her mom to be at the place by 7:45 because the event started at 8. Well at 7:41 she’s texting me saying she got a flat tire. I asked her if she was close and she didn’t respond for 20 minutes then she told me that she’s still at home. 30 minutes away.

I was going to ask why her mom couldn’t just drive them but at that point I was so upset I didn’t even care anymore. Now money is lost because she didn’t respond until after the event already started.

I’m so upset I didn’t even respond. I feel like maybe she had a good reason but I really don’t think so. I don’t know what to do.
