How to take mucinex for cold?

My dr always would recommend taking mucinex when I had a bad cold or sinus infection and idk why but I would never do it. Well I’ve had a cold now I’m on day 6 and I took mucinex the first like 3-4 days and my mucus has definitely thinned out but do I keep taking it until it’s gone? Also we have been home and we’re all losing my mind. Are we probably not contagious anymore? My LO has dance class today and I’d like to take her but idk we still have some lingering symptoms. It’s not covid.

You have to isolate for a cold and Dr's recommend stuff for it? In UK folks just tell you to grab some cough syrup and crack on 😅 is mucinex something you can buy over the counter?

Never take some sick out just wait it out it's better to not spread it even if you think it's fine please don't go out and spread it

I usually take it until my stuffy nose is completely gone or until I can finally breath without issues. But I get really bad stuffy noses when I’m sick and they last for a while🙃 as for you LO that’s up to you! I get sick a lot I work with kids so I understand the struggle but I also have to test for Covid every week so I’m not too concerned about it. You do what you think is best❤️
