Would you be ok with your 2.5 year old riding an electric bike?

My sons dad’s family member got it for him and he came home with a busted face meaning he wasn’t wearing his helmet as it is a full face helmet, not to mention the one they have is too heavy for his neck. Not sure if these things are even legal for kids this young? I very well could be being overprotective but doesn’t sit well.

Nope nope nope. Helmet first and foremost, period, the end. A head injury will ruin everyone. Jesus, absolutely not. I cannot believe they wouldn’t put a helmet on him. As far as riding it, if he had balance on a regular 2 wheeled bike, I would consider, but absolutely not without a helmet. I’m horrified. I will reiterate, a head injury of a child will ruin your family.

An electro bike isn’t going to wear him out. We have a balance bike and this is the way! He loves it and is incredibly good already.

A 2.5 year old has no control of anything powered. This is a disaster waiting to happen. What’s the age recommendation on the bike. Surely not 2.

Not without a helmet! My kids started riding little four wheelers at 1 by themselves without a helmet, (the thing was super slow and tiny and they barely moved) but once they started getting rides on a real one we got a helmet.
