Am I just hormonal??😩

So my boyfriend is sleeping over my Moms house for a couple days with my Moms permission. He sleeps on the couch & I sleep in my room. I cook for him , give him a towel to shower, blankes , a fan for when he’s hot etc. i give him whatever he needs but it bothers me that after he leaves the dishes for me in the sink to wash AFTER I washed dishes already.. he eats & leaves it there. We are currently expecting & I help my Mom around the house & whatever she needs. Only thing he helps with is when I have to ASK him to help me take out the trash’s & recycling.. This is making me think I’m just hormonal & being extra .. but it would be nice if he at least washed his dish. It’s making me feel like I don’t want a guy where I have to clean , cook , do his dishes , grab everything he needs etc. while he just sits down .. thank you!

No, not hormonal! That sounds annoying. Maybe try having a talk with him about finding ways to help around the house without you needing to ask him. Maybe he could have specific tasks he is responsible for each day/week? It’s not bad for you to help your partner, but it sounds like you are doing a lot of things to take care of him, which he should be grown enough to do for himself.

Stop waiting on him and talk to him about it. He’s not a baby and can fend for himself. You’re not his mother or maid. Establish this early on- you’re equal partners and help each other raise children and take care of your home.

You need to communicate… don’t yell or be mad… explain sometimes men are slow. Especially if he’s young which sounds like you both are. But you just need to be like I hate asking you to do stuff because I feel like I’m nagging but could u just do random stuff as u see it like if u use a dish wash it or if the trash is full replace it. Ya know that’s how relationships work is all communication… Now hopefully he’s mature enough to take the advice

Baby you’re not hormonal about things like this. He’s a grown ass man who refuses to clean up after himself. The fact that you have to ask him to help with the trash and recycling is annoying enough. He sounds like he’s laying around like he’s the man of the house. Hunny it’s time for y’all to have a serious conversation because in a little while y’all will have a little one to look after. Do you really want to be asking him for help every time you need it? He sees the need, he should just do it.
