Is it just me, or is engagement in here super low now?

Talking about women’s health when it involves the banned topic is important, but those often get moved or deleted. It’s effecting our country and have people afraid on what they can do.

Hey! It’s been a minute. As memory serves, we agree on almost nothing, but that generally what CC is for so welcome back! ☺️ As some people have mentioned, the engagement is low because there have been a series of posts where moderation kinda showed how they like to filter points of view. A lot of posts with little controversy are allowed to remain, rules are broken and allowed in some situations or censored in others. If a point of view does not conform with the majority your comment can get removed.. that kind of thing. 
The most important issue currently is subjective I am sure. Some already debated several times over (example: 2nd Amendment), some banned (example: Roe v Wade), some that people talk about and place blame but are unsure of solutions (example: inflation). What kind of government is best, and what kind of leadership skills are needed to be in certain government roles? 
One subject that is top of mind if the modern day employment experience. What should it be like to go to work every day, what is fair pay, what are expected benefits, what is the optimal way of working (more virtual options or more in person contact)?
Last but not least (and not sure I answered everything as it was)… recent favorite meme or random post I guess in my case

I think that people don’t understand how to have a civil conversation sometimes.
And the fact we’re not allowed to debate half the topics posted.
Or people feel attacked if/when they disagree.
I think the mods need to write a list of banned topics and stick to that. 
Afterwards it should all be free to discuss as long as a user isn’t hateful or overly rude.

I had this app back in 2015/16. CC was always poppin! Easily the best group on the app. When I re-downloaded Glow a few months ago I was shocked how different it is. So many posts get removed now. A topic is either too controversial or not controversial enough. There’s not much to talk about here anymore

I personally think “the banned topic” needs to be actually talked about. Especially by the people on this app. In this group. It’s such an important topic imo. And it’s also important to be able to have a conversation with someone who has a totally diff pov than I do. I think this is one of the most important issues of our time.

Engagement has just dropped. I honestly thought a bunch of people blocked me…but no…it really has been lagging. Just commenting cuz I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice

I’ve been busy so I hold off comments unless I have the proper time to think about the topic at hand. And I’m trying to be more conscious about listening more than talking. 
I appreciate this discussion as I did notice a rise in a controversial concern that I first noticed locally but have started to notice nationally as well but didn’t know if it was large enough of a concern to discuss. I have noticed in the comments under local news outlets that people are pointing out the seemingly purposeful divide between communities. It could be race, age, sex, etc but some purposeful divide between at least two groups in the headlining topic. Lately, it seems to be focusing more on race, specifically the white and black communities. At first it was a few people in the white community pointing out the divide and now it’s the black community shaming the news company involved and pointing it out too. An example of the local race divide: there are two large city pools that are now requiring identification so that only people in certain zip codes are allowed in. (They were getting crowded, large fights broke out, and they have a lifeguard shortage.) A few white women declared it racist until a few black women pointed out that POC also live in those zip codes. Between the headline wording and the feature photo showing a young black gentleman people were assuming it was due to race. 
I tend to flip through random short videos and while doing so I found a few adult black men discussing the same topic. They show a news clip and it’s headline while pointing out how the outlet is trying to divide groups. Basically I don’t know if they have a point or if it’s bullshit for ratings and I’m curious what others think. 
Also, as some know, I occasionally talk about superfund sites and contaminated areas across the U.S. due to the government’s usage of hazardous materials. I’m still in disbelief of what has been allowed to happen and wonder how detrimental the impact continues to be on the mental and physical health for those involved.
I have no memes to share at the moment.

I used to love CC but there’s very few topics in here I’m interested in anymore. Plus there’s never any controversy it feels more like an echo chamber. And the interesting posts always get taken down or sadly are by anonymous members because they probably feel too nervous to post because it can get vicious
