Should I break up w him

So I’ve been with my bf two yrs and august I have two kids and he has a kid we both work he’s a good dad. But he’s a binge alcoholic so he doesn’t drink everyday but when he drinks it’s hard for him to shut it off and he gets verbally abusive. I love him but he’s also not financially responsible meaning I spend my money on bills and groceries he spends his on trees alcohol and smokes. He talks the talk but never walks it financially and makes great money. Can I get some advice. Like I love the guy but I’m getting sick of his shit.
