Did you stop taking bp meds on your own ?

I was prescribed bp meds postpartum, My blood pressures were in the normal range yesterday so I didn’t take my meds. Has anyone done the same ? Hopefully this means my blood pressure is finally going back to normal on its own!

Dont just stop taking them. Consult your dr. Your bo should be normal.because of the medicins. Consult your dr before you stop takinGBmeds

I was also on bp meds pp and I would have weekly appointments with my doctor to monitor the pressure and taper off the meds . I don’t recommend just stopping because of normal pressure readings as the meds will be helping that .

I took them until I ran out of the meds which was around 6 weeks PP. With my OB advice I tracked my BP for a few weeks after that to make sure it didn't spike.

Your BP is where it is supposed to be because of the meds, don't stop or taper without direction from your doctor or you'll be right back where you started.

The medication is likely what is controlling the blood pressure. Not taking them can cause them to rise again. Discuss with your doctor. Self-treating generally doesn’t go very well.
