Tubes in ears.

Has anyone gotten tubes for their kids at 3? My son has chronic ear infections. He just had one in Feb, then one in April, then the end of May and he just woke up burning up and saying his ears hurt today. So that's 4 ear infections in the last 4 months. At his last Dr. Appointment they wanted to wait and see if he got another one before they refer him to an ENT. I've been pushing for it but had to wait for a referral. I'm hoping they refer him now because it's literally constant!

Has anyone's kid gotten tubes at 3? Did it get rid of the ear infections completely? And did it help with sickness? He's also sick all the time on top of the ear infections. I'm so tired of it & tired of seeing him miserable 😭
