Omg legal advice or something? Husband bought a stolen trailer?

My husband bought a dump trailer and NOT FOR CHEAP. Turns out it’s stolen. The guy had a gps tracker and showed up to our house saying he’s calling the cops. He has the title he says. We only have a bill of sale husband hasn’t registered it yet or gotten insurance. Plz tell us there’s something we can do. I just got laid off and we can’t lose this much money.

Also looking back on messages the dump trailer was bought two months ago. So weird the guy is just tracking it down.

So he has a legit title but police are gonna come to talk abt it
