I had a serious talk with a guy I’ve been seeing for a week

So I’ve been seeing this guy for a week now, and I wanted to be blunt about what I’m looking for so that we don’t waste each others time. I really like him, and so far he’s checked all the boxes in everything that I want in a relationship. We both agreed that we see a great relationship developing and seem to be on the same page about a lot of things…

The topic of kids came up. He told me that he doesn’t see kids in his future, and he decided on getting a vasectomy last year. I’ve been back and forth on the idea of having kids. There’s so many pros and cons, but knowing that it’s completely off the table, kinda sucks. I asked if he might change his mind later on, and he said maybe but no guarantees.

I said I want to be married at some point in my near future, he said that he never saw himself getting married. He also mentioned that maybe he’s felt this way because he hasn’t met the right person yet.
