New job- no assigned work

Moved for a new job entry level. My ast manager assigns work to me when she can see me do the work (to check if I’m doing it right) been 2 weeks on the job. Otherwise I get no work, sit at my desk. Someone else got hired at the same time I did, she gets work assigned and others help her. For me, it’s my manager and I get work only if she is Available to oversee me. It’s true that I learn slowly but I won’t learn unless I get to do the work.

What does this mean? Will be be asked to leave the company? I’m very anxious and scared.
