Seizure

My son (14 months) had his first seizure on Monday afternoon that lasted for 12 minutes and post seizure state lasting just over an hour. The Hospital left us feeling pretty upset, they gave us no answers and tried to tell us it was a normal febrile seziure that was caused by rise in temperature. I should mention that he had no temperature before or after his seizure, the EMT and hospital checked and it was normal. (I was checking his temperature the day of seizure because he was a bit cranky. But we know it was because he had a really horrible nap that day) He also had no symptoms of being sick besides swollen lymp nodes in the back of his head that have been flaring up for over a month. My doctor does know about this and we were waiting it out a bit longer before doing more testing, but that is it!

Has any other moms experienced this? We see our family doctor today and I’m going to push for more testing and/or referrals to be done.
