*trigger warning* husband recommended that I can take a prescribed narcotic so that he can have sex with me

I had lipoma removed from my groin a week ago, I'm still swollen in that area. I do not feel comfortable having sex yet, and I let him know that it may be another week or so until we can have sex. I haven't touched any of the prescribed oxy for pain as my family has a history of addictions so I avoid narcotics.

After I told him that we needed to wait his response was, 'well you could just take an oxy so that we can.'

We've been together for 5 years and I guess I am not sure if me feeling uncomfortable that he would recommend me taking a narcotic so that I wouldn't feel anything so that we can have sex is invalid?

He is not a user. He's a service member (army) and gets tested regularly.

Am I overreacting?
