So I’m concerned this isn’t a period…

So last night I put a pad on with the knowledge my periods supposed to start either today or tomorrow and then went to bed. This morning I woke up to pink discharge and pink chunks when I peed. I have been around friends of mine that have had kids and I’m scared that my thoughts are right. Should I take a pregnancy test or wait it out? Also, if I am pregnant, the fathers no longer in the picture :) so any tips would be helpful in this moment as I will be absolutely terrified.
