Tampon Issue

So I started using tampons for my last two periods and I’m wondering if the size I have is the right fit for me. I wore a super on my heaviest day but it began leaking after an hour. I changed into a regular and that one actually held for a good 3 hours without leaking. Am I using the wrong size or maybe the wrong tampon brand?

Also! Does anyone have any good tampon brand suggestions?

I have been trying the playtex sport ones but the applicators keep breaking on me while I’m putting them in which is so disappointing.
