Neither of us finished - is that weird?

Last night I had sex and it was feeling incredible! I was so close to finishing but then his dick slipped out and we kinda lost the energy. We had been going for a decent amount of time and we both were getting tired. We kissed a little bit but then didn’t try again. Is it weird to end sex without either of us finishing? Is it unsatisfying or disappointing the other person? I mean he didn’t seem disappointed, he just wanted to cuddle and kiss me.
