Bruised clitoris

Is it possible to bruise your clitoris? I need pretty intense clitoral stimulation during sex to even feel close to orgasming. I think I may have overdone it last night because it is so sensitive now and feels bruised. There’s some slight discoloration like a bruise. I get like numb down there during sex so I can’t feel how hard I’m pressing, I guess I need to lighten up. Is there something else I can try for stimulation?
