What age did your lo start to be able to sleep anywhere?

Mine is about to be 3 months and can’t sleep without white noise, darkness, exc. I’m trying to train him to be able to sleep with noise in the background. Talking, my toddler, exc. but he just can’t sleep with it so easy to wake up.

They day she was born we started making sure people weren’t quiet around her. Plus, her nicu room was SO loud with construction on the floor below. That helped.
Once she was 1, we started to instill a dark quiet safe space to sleep with white noise. But we still don’t tip toe or whisper. We still encourage car ride naps.

My July 2021 baby can sleep anywhere with whatever noise, since she came home I've never kept the house quiet & dark for naps. I have a 5 & 3 year old so it would have stressed me out tremendously if I tried to keep the house dark & quiet for her to nap...lol

You gotta start the day they come home. My twins got all that quiet, dark etc crap from the nicu and they sleep like shit. They are 3.5, get 5mg of melatonin multiple times a night per their ped, dark, quiet blah blah and they still don't sleep. My 19m old? Sleeps through me vacuuming, cleaning, banging etc I also baby wore with him alot because he constantly wanted to be on the boob (no binkies, having trouble getting the twins away but they said not to take them till sleep issues are fixed) hoping he sleeps through the baby since he's still in our room because his sisters.

I took my son outside in the stroller for the first 1.5 years of his life for most naps. He was down to just one at about 10 months. We lived in a busy city at that time. So he got used to all kinds of noises; traffic, in and out of city buses and trains, dogs barking, kids screaming, people talking, grocery stores, malls, restaurants, etc. Also when he did take naps at home, he always slept in the living room with lots of stuff going on around him. He’s 4 now and hasn’t napped in almost 2 years but he does go to bed between 7-8pm. 99% of the time, once he is asleep, he is completely out until morning.

Never and I'm greatful for it. My children are bed snobs and will ONLY sleep in their own beds, in a dark room, with a sound machine.

Mine could sleep anywhere from 3 months when they started daycare. They’re 5 and 3 now and while they prefer white noise and darkness they can generally zonk out anywhere.

My baby was able to immediately. My husband and I never whispered and kept day naps bright. I do dishes with him sleeping close by. Once it's ingrained in then to only sleep in dark and no noise. It's really hard to break that.
