Do you get things your SO want at the store? But doesnt mention it

My SO asked me if I had bought cucumbers at the store but he never asked or mentioned it . He basically just told me to get fruit so when I came home he asked if I had bought cucumbers and I said no you didn’t tell me to get cucumbers and his response was I asked you to get fruit and you didn’t get cucumbers . I said again you didn’t tell me to get cucumbers so I didn’t get them if you would of told me then I would of got some then he told me I was useless I was so pissed. It’s not hard to say what you want like a specific thing.
