Did you baby cry when they were born?

Question

My daughter didn’t cry the moment she was born and it freaked me out because I though all babies cried the moment they were born. 
I thought she was sick. But she was just chill and happy. 
So I’m wondering if it’s more normal than I though for babies not to cry.

No but she needs some breathing support. Once they got her airway open and she was breathing, she still didn’t cry for a few mins. It felt like a lifetime until I did hear her cry actually but it was probably only a couple mins

Oldest didn't - he was just looking around. He wasn't sick or anything.

No I didn’t hear her cry until they started touching her trying to weigh her😂 she came out looking mean asl staring at me I was staring at her. She was breathing fine but she just never was a cry baby unless she was upset and being touched by someone she didn’t want. Which was anyone she didn’t know 🤣 she’s still not very friendly and never been a crying type she prefers to use her words.

Both my daughters didn’t cry when they were born I freaked out with my first. She was just calm.  with my second they said it’s cuz we did delayed cord cutting and she was still getting her oxygen from me. Once the cord was cut she did start crying lol

Two homebirths, one hospital birth (pitocin induction). No one cried. All were fine. The nurses were all rubbing him like crazy (hospital birth) trying to get him to cry, he grunted in annoyance a little, but didn’t cry for hours. I had to literally tell them to stop and back off at one point. So annoying. But I know they see things go downhill quickly a lot, so I try to be understanding. Many, many babies don’t cry when they’re born and are just fine. Remember, docs/nurses used to spank them to MAKE them cry.

Neither of mine did but only because they weren’t breathing when they came out 😬 eventually my first let out a cry that scared the shit out of me because he sounded in pain! I never heard my second sons first cry because I was put out completely for the emergency c section. Only know what my hubby told me he saw! But when my grandma had my aunt, she said she didn’t cry at all and was so concerned about her and she is like 45 now and still the mellowest person I know. Just a super chill woman haha.

First cried immediately. Second didn’t. He was fine in the end but he was purple and limp when he came out so they had to check him out. During the exam he started crying.

My baby tried to cry but didn’t fully cry because she had a ton of fluid in her lungs and had to be carried off to another room and I’m not exactly sure what they had to do, but she came back a few minutes later happy as can me
