Uti in a toddler

Last Thursday my 2 year old woke up from a nap crying and holding her stomach. She had been having low grade fevers a few days prior but nothing else had seemed wrong. Flash forward to Friday she’s still crying in pain, not eating but still urinating and having stools. I take her to the doctor and they tell me she just has a stomach virus.

That whole weekend she’s still crying in pain, not really eating and when she does eat she throws it up. Sunday afternoon rolls around and she seems a lot better, playing more, eating more and keeping it down, not crying in pain.

It’s now Tuesday and she woke up with a 100.5 fever, playing but not super rambunctious like her normal self and not really eating anything. This whole time I’ve been in contact with her Dr, and just keeping her hydrated and giving pain meds when needed.

I have a feeling maybe it wasn’t a stomach bug and maybe she has a uti?

She’s never had one before so im not 100% sure. Has anyone else’s toddler had a uti and experienced this before or at I crazy and it’s just a stomach virus. We’ve never gone into a 2nd week with low grade fevers with anything my 3 kiddos have caught.
