Infants and coughs

It's a struggle when kids get sick and how quick we have to put on our quick thinking hats and start thinking of remedies and old folks with their healing methods of yonks ago. But my 1 month old daughter has caught a bad phlemy cough with a blocked nasal passage which is irritating her. We have been told by the doctors to rub oils on her chest and feet and steam bath her if that doesn't work then we shall bring her back for medical attention. My heart drops cause I wish it was I the one to take her pain cause I feel so useless. Anyways that's my thought of the day. She is in recovery mode.
