Newborn breastfeeding

Ophelia

My baby is 5 days old and I am attempting to breastfeed her. She will eat and eat and eat nonstop. I pumped and had to supplement formula due to her losing w too much weight. Her pediatrician had me supplement formula after each feeding. After that, she will now eat way over what she should be eating but the lactation consultants I saw told me to perceive everything as a hunger cue and just feed her. So now she is on the boob or eating 2oz of pumped milk every hour and a half plus an ounce of formula and she is still having hunger cues (rooting, sucking on hands, excessive crying, etc). I don’t know what to do but I don’t want to overfeed her and frankly I am overwhelmed with how to digest all of this different information about breastfeeding
