Okay so my husband works today but he wants me to take our 20 month old along with his grandma to go to a trunk or treat today. This will be her first time trick or treating. I told him I want to go tomorrow early with him bc it’s her first time but he doesn’t want to bc he wants to hand out candy… I don’t want to just go with his grandma for her first time dressing up and going out for Halloween.

I wouldn’t put so much emphasis on Halloween anyway. Halloween isn’t essential.

No I wouldn’t take her with his grandma as her first time either. He needs to go with you if this is important to you.

So then would you rather her just miss out on her first trick or treating all together? Cause if you don't go without him then that's the only other option? I get that it's not what you want, but things don't always turn out the way we want. At least she will have you and her grandma.
