Long post - please read
Let me start this off my saying I’ve had 4 different doctors look at this because I am so worried it is cancerous. In 2019 I noticed a small round / mobile lump under my skin in my right labia majora (up towards the top). I had my gynecologist look at it and was told it was a cyst.
Since then I’ve had 3 other gynecologists look at it (1 just last month) and all of them have told me it’s likely a cyst or just my body’s autonomy. I feel something similar on the left side at the same spot, just not as noticeable. I only started worrying about it because I seen a TikTok of a girl who has a rare type of cancer in that area and was misdiagnosed that it was a cyst. I sometimes get itching in the area of the cyst (not all the time tho), and also told that to the doctors as well, and none of them seem concerned. But I still keep obsessing that it’s something serious (I should also mention that I have ocd).
My question is, should I just let it go and not worry, since I’ve had 4 people look at it and they all told me the same. Or should I be more concerned/ does it sound like cancer? If anyone with a similar situation could comment, I’d appreciate it.
Sorry for the long post, I’m just so worked up and panicking..
Update: I seen a dermatologist yesterday and they gave me a cortisone shot to see if that will help shrink it and relieve the itching. He didn’t see it as anything serious but he definitely knew a lot more than the gynecologist did and I feel a lot better after speaking with him.
