My period is a week late. Can a UTI affect my period?

A couple of months ago, my period started to become regular again, before, I used to get it every 2 months, then it started to regulate and I got it every month. I missed my period by maybe a week now, and I am sexually active and usually use withdrawal as a form of contraceptive, but during my ovulation week, I would use condoms. The same time I was supposed to get my period this month, I am beginning to see signs of a UTI, and 2 days ago I got a pregnancy test and it was negative. So I have a question, can a UTI affect my period? Or should I be worried... I have signs and symptoms that my period is coming up, but it doesn't.
