I got my daughter dress shoes for the holiday with dresses and tights. On thanksgiving, it was a fight trying to dress her. I only got the tights and dress (after fighting) and she refused to wear the shoes. I’m in various mom groups and I saw someone looking for dress shoes in the size my daughter is so I thought screw it I’m going to sell them. My daughter probably won’t ever wear them so why just have them there. Anyways, my mom got mad saying what is she going to wear now and that she can’t wear shoes with a dress. She said I have to make the decisions for her because she’s just 3. I told her she can make her own decisions and she gets mad when I do so might as well let her do it because I can’t force her to wear something she doesn’t want to. (I mean I can but it’s a such a struggle). Am I wrong for letting my daughter choose what she wants to wear instead of enforcing what i want?
