My son is 1 month old and he has this on the side I have no clue what this is help?

Probably a hemangioma.

I remember when I was younger my friends sister had something that looked very similar to that as a baby and her parents called it a strawberry birthmark, don’t hold me to it but it just really reminds me of it

It’s a hemangioma! My son has a decent sized one on his abdomen. You can get a referral from his pediatrician for a dermatologist. My son gets Timolol drops twice a day for it or you can leave it be.

Here’s my daughters hemangioma at 3m old

Here’s it now at 16m old! You can’t see it as it’s just a flat faint faint pink now.

We did monitor its appearance and growth. We also had it checked by a pediatric dermatologist just to be on the safe side. 
It didn’t bother her or cause any problems.
