What age did you make the leap from sleeping bags to pillow and duvet?

My 16 month old is still currently in sleeping bags and in a large cot. He’s very active and moved around his cot often while he sleeps. I have a toddler bed ready. Nhs says after 12 months to introduce duvet and pillow but I’m interested in what other people have done and been successful with. Any advice welcome.

Duvet from birth, pillow from when they started putting the duvet under their head so around 14-16months old. Just those thin flat baby pillows.

My son never slept in sleep sacks. He had a blanket at age one in his crib. He didn’t move out of the crib until he was 3. Then he had a pillow and the entire bed set. We moved him to a queen size bed when he was 3.

My daughter is 2yo and still in a sleep sack and crib. We will keep her in a sleep sack as long as she’s in the crib.

We follow all safe sleep guidelines by AAP due to losing my nephew from unsafe sleep. 
We never did blankets in the crib, ever. He got a blanket once he was in a toddler bed at about 1.5 years old. He got a small toddler pillow at the age of 2.

My son was 15 months when I gave him a pillow and blanket. He didn’t use the blanket. My daughter is about to be 14 months. I put a pillow in her crib this week but only so it would touch the top of her head like she’s used to in my bed. I put a blanket at her feet. My niece didn’t get one until she was 3. It really depends on the kid and how they sleep. My kids do great with them. My niece would get tangled and end up stuck and covered her head too much.
