My boyfriends whole life is me

I need advice. My boyfriend is an only child and doesn’t really hang out with friends outside of me. He’s made a lot of comments about how I’m his whole world and when I get really busy for too long, he gets pouty over lack of attention. I was in school this fall and he constantly complained about lack of attention and how I don’t love him just to tease me. But I was slammed. And I have kids. And he just ended up grumpy all the time. I’m also very introverted and need alone time to function and want to be off my phone more but I feel like I have to have it with me to respond to him. I’m just feeling a little smothered. What do I do?
