What’s ur take on birth control

I’ve been on the combined pill before and it led to acne and depression for me, i then decided to come off it even though the doctor advised me to basically ignore the side effects stay on it?!

I then about a year later got the copper coil as I believed that as it was non hormonal I wouldn’t have the issues like I did on the pill- i was wrong I ended up being in severe pain when on my period and my periods would either be twice a month or I would be on 3 weeks out of each month.

I don’t want to give up on birth control but I’m scared to try anything else. I’m 17 and living with my boyfriend, he’s really understanding about all these issues and told me that it’s my decision and should do what makes me comfortable when it comes to birth control. I am just unsure and would love to know any advice you guys might have or any suggestions, thank you ❤️
