Too many follicles this month HELP!!!

My doctor would not give me the HCG shot to trigger ovulation this month. I had 3-follicles at 22, one at 18 and one at 15. All of these were on my right ovary. He told me that if I did not do the trigger it would be less likely for all of them to release. He said we could still BD this month and hope for the best. Has anyone gone through a similar situation and got a BFP??? Twins would be great but I am terrified of any more!
