Daycare At 19 Months? ?

So I Am Being Offered A Manager Position That Would Require Me To Put My DD In Daycare. I Would Drop Her Off & My DH Would Pick Her Up. My DD Enjoys Playing With Other Children & I Know She Would Enjoy Learning New Things.I Just Wanted To Know If Any Moms Have Had Good Experiences With Their 1 Year Old In Daycare & If It Has Benefited Them In The Long Run?

You know I see kids that young do it, there's pros and cons just like everything.. Pros- they do grow and next thing you know they'll be coming home telling you stuff that is exciting to see her learn, she'll learn a lot of new social interactions&so on..

​Cons- there's plenty of time for school, those first few years are special with bonding time between mommy/baby if given the opportunity! Also, it's like she'll grow up while you were gone, you see all these new things she knows and just see how fast she's becoming bigger..

​No judgement either way, consider what would work best for you and your family! :)

Former toddler teacher here. 
​Daycare at her age is an adventure. She'll gain great social skills and it is a start to a healthy relationship with school. 
​Putting her in daycare in no way makes you a bad mom. Just be sure to make unexpected visits so you can see how they're doing with her. If they don't allow that, pick a different daycare. And even if you haven't decided to do it yet, start looking ASAP because lots of daycares have a wait list.

Daycare teacher here! A great daycare can be wonderful for your child :-)

Start looking, even if you're not sure you'll do it. Go visit them and see if they seem like a good fit. Sending your child to teachers who you like and to a place you like is important (if you can choose).

If you decide to, be prepared for a big adjustment. A new place, new people, new toys, new schedule...its a lot to take in! And it is TIRING! The full-time kids, by Friday are noticeably more tired than they were on Monday. 
If you're still on the fence, you could enroll your kid part-time. Maybe a couple mornings a week? They will adjust to a new school and socialize, and then if all goes well later on you could up it to full-time and take a job.
