Weightloss without calorie counting

I am trying to lose the last 10lbs of baby fat but am having problems with calorie counting.  It becomes a number game which quickly devoles into "how little can I eat today" and ends in a binge.  I am trying to just intuitively eat less and do muscle building exercises but am finding myself failing on a daily basis.
​Any tips from those successful with losing weight without counting?
​I don't drink anything but tea(no sugar), coffee (black) and water and I try to limit my bread intake though I have a weakness for cookies.  I am still nursing my 13 month old up to 8 times a day (depends on the day).  Any help would be appreciated.
