Does it blow your mind how little females actually know about there bodies?

Schools don't do much to teach girls about their bodies and how it functions and why it does what it does. I know so many women who hate their bodies purely for the fact that it releases blood once a month and find it disgusting.

Society doesn't help because it likes to keep female bodies under wraps; you can look sexy but you can't act upon it. It also doesn't even want to educate girls on methods of birth control other than the pill, which is sad because a lot of girls and women, myself included, don't get on well with hormonal contraception.

It's more sad than mind blowing. Yet, worldwide sex and the femme is a taboo subject in many societies.

Unfortunately, my parents never put too much emphasis on getting to know my body. Unless I had a problem, I never questioned anything. That was all sort of taboo. I couldn't talk about sex or anything because it was condemning. So, I never took the time to learn until I was married and TTC. I regret not learning earlier.

Depends what u mean... Im pretty educated on how the female body in general works etc but im not in the slightest bit in tune with my own body if that makes sense.

I don't know much about my body. I was sexually assaulted as a kid which made me associate anything sexual as being bad and gross.. I was so traumatised that I couldn't even sit through sex ed. So no it doesn't surprise me at all that some women don't know these things not everyone explores if it wasn't for the close relationship with my mother I probably would have thought my period was some sort of internal bleeding and I was going to die as silly as it sounds lol now being older and okay with sexual aspects I know more but still not all.

schools hardly teach the bare minimum this is why it doesn't surprise me females or even males don't know that much about their bodies.

I thought I was well educated about the female body, heck maybe I was more then most, but I knew nothing about CM until a couple years ago 
when a friend TTC told me about it.  Meanwhile I had already given birth to a child and had taken classes about women in college. It amazes me that these topics are still taboo, or only knowlegeable by some collect secret society of women TTC, lol.  If more women learned about and understood these types of things maybe they would be more careful about preventing an unwanted pregancy and feel more secure about themselves. It would have been nice to know, years ago, that the occasional discharge was normal and healthy.

Depends wht you call "little", 7 yo i understand.  But 10 yo not really, because that is when they get the talk about periods and then a year later the sex talk and being safe.
