Taking mother with you to appts?

Im currently 11 weeks and today my mom made a comment about her going with me to see the ultrasound. DH makes his own schedule at work and will be at all appts with me. According to our dr, I will only have one more ultrasound around 20 weeks (unless they feel something is wrong with baby). I really want just my husband and I to be there when we find out the sex. I know my mom means well but idk what to do/tell her. Any suggestions?

Get a video copy of it and do a reveal for your family! Tell her you really want to have a reveal for the family all together so it will be really special and that you will be getting a tape of the U.S. They should offer that most places do...

You're building your own family now. She needs to respect that. They her you and DH would like to share this experience together as your new family unit and that you'll give her a recap later.

If you're a grown woman not living under her roof and under her means, she doesn't get a say. Father of the child comes first. My husband comes with me to all appointments, and we report back to our mothers after the appointment is done.

If you really only want him there you can tell her they only allow one person in the room with you. (Some pleased it's true). I really don't want them there only because my husband cannot make it and I don't want them to find out the sex before my husband (or each other) so I have a friend taking me and she will be helping me to get everything ready for the revel later than night.
