Moses basket or crib??

Question

We've been looking at furniture to get an idea of what we want. I really want a Moses basket and my DH wants a rocking crib. 
Should we got one or the other or is it worth buying both??

My first had to be rocked until she was about 4 months. This time we are using a rock n play until she goes to the crib.

I'm getting a rocking cradle my granddad made for my older sister when she was born and it's been passed around the family. Then we will go to a crib.
