I need some relationship advice. I've been crying non stop since last night i just don't know what to do/:

I've been seeing this guy for about a year. Long story short his best friend doesn't approve of us being in a relationship so he told me he couldn't give me the title. It was still early so I understood & stook around. Now let's take it back to about 2 months ago he told me he loved me 1st. We've been acting like complete bf/gf since then he even told me we were pretty much dating just without the title. I figured since he said he loved me then he'd want to be with me. But last night I said something about our relationship & he corrected me real quick. It just hurts to hear you know? How could you love me but not want to be with me I don't understand:( I'm so involved with his family & I'm just in way too deep with him to just pick up & leave he treats me amazingly besides that. He always said is a title really that important well it is to me now & idk what to do. Thanks in advance ! ?
