Should I tell my parents?

I am bisexual and my family is strict catholic. They do not know and have never know because I just always date guys. My aunt recently came out of the closet and told us she is marrying her partner since its been legalized in PA. My parents flipped out and my whole family basically shunned her and her fiance. I have known that I liked both girls and guys for awhile and I want to tell my parents but I'm afraid to because of how they reacted to my aunt. I just want them to accept me.

Dont tell them. Just see where life takes you first. If you fall in love with a girl and wAnt to marry then tell them. You might fall for a man a marry him , thus no need to tell ??

You need to be true to yourself. You shouldn't have to keep this secret just because your parents can't accept it. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Do you have a close sibling or friend that can maybe help you explain to them that it's ok? Maybe so it won't be like they are ganging up on just you. It would be good for you to have support going into the conversation.

You're their child. They can flip on an aunt because she's not the immediate family, but you're their daughter they'll love you through and through, but their beliefs might make them a little bitter about the topic or even flat out deny that you're bisexual.

While I agree with the previous poster, your family SHOULDNT care because they are your family, I would be hesitant to tell them based off their reaction. You can also let them know without directly telling them. Kind of lead them gently into it. I have a bunch of Indian work friends and I've heard some horror stories about families never ever speaking to a child again over homosexuality.

I think you shouldn't tell them. Not until you move out anyway.  Even if you're their daughter I have seen friends thrown out on the street for being gay. Sometimes people don't know how to handle it and it can take years for them to accept it. It took my mother years. So I think you should keep it to yourself for the time being.
