Is the HPV Vaccine worth getting if you're sexually active?

I'm debating on getting it.   I'm in a committed relationship right now.  But I don't like to do vaccines if I don't feel it's necessary.  Curious to hear your thoughts!

As the nurse who gave me mine said, you may know where you have been, but you don't always know where he has been. Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion.

Absolutely yes. I got the strain of hpv that gives you cancer from my fiancé. It's better to be safe than sorry.

It was put on the market and even made mandatory in some places prior to having long-term testing. I'll take my chances, rather than find out later that there's something wrong with it. My personal choice though.

I believe it is absolutely a must. My two sisters who are sexually active have HPV. I don't but that's because my husband and I were virgins when we got married. It's so common now and any way to protect yourself is a good thing in my book.

I got mine when I was 14ish, unfortunately it didn't prevent me from getting hpv but it could've helped me from not getting the cancerous kind!

I’m deciding whether I should get it too.  My partner got it in school and he got a booster last year. My parents are worried about the side effects though, but I don’t know I’d rather be safe then sorry. Well until we get tested.
