Trying to fall pregnant is so unromantic!!

What is it with men?? Husband has a real issue with me telling him I'm ovulating we need to get on it!! Says he feels like a piece of meat! It's not romantic...If I don't tell him I'm ovulating he'll make an excuse like he's too tired! He needs to harden up...we were put on this earth to reproduce...how can I make this easier for him or should he just shoosh and get to work?
